Professor Dr. P R Trivedi (55) holds
B.Tech., MBA, Ph.D., D.Sc. and LL.D.qualifications in Engineering,
Management, Environmental Sciences, Human Rights and Environmental Laws.
He has authored 30 Volume International Encyclopaedia of Ecology and
Environment, 20 Volume Encyclopaedia of Disaster Mitigation, 50 Volume
Encyclopaedia of Sustainable Development, 50 Volume Encyclopaedic Module
on Human Rights, 10 Volume Paryavaran Vishwakosh, 10 Volume
Encyclopaedia of International Environmental Laws besides many books on
ecology, environment, pollution control, natural resources conservation
and management.
More than 5000 environmental projects
have been completed under his leadership. He has successfully organised
training programmes in India, UK, USA, Italy, Spain, Russia, Poland, Sri
Lanka, Nepal, Mongolia, Uganda, Zambia, South Korea, The Netherlands,
Maldives and Tunisia.
Professor Dr. Trivedi is pioneer in
introducing the environmental education programme and clean-up campaign
by involving more than two million school children in India. He has
given the slogan 'Catch Them Young' for educating the children for the
21st century.
He has helped the Federal and the
State Governments in creation of environment friendly as well as
sustainable jobs by introducing Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral
programmes in the areas of ecology, environment, pollution control and
environmental communication.
Professor Dr. Trivedi has several more
than 35 universities in India and other countries enabling them to sign
Memorandum of Understanding for designing programmes in new and emerging
fields relating to employment generation and vocationalisation of
existing careers.
Between 1974 and 2005 he has
successfully organised more than 1000 national as well as international
congresses, seminars and workshops in collaboration with world renowned
bodies for the protection of Mother Earth.
He has been honoured by many reputed
national as well as global organisations for his outstanding
contributions in the areas of formal as well as non formal environmental
education, alternative, complementary and energetic medicines for his
optimisation techniques with a view to bringing environmental
sustainability.
Prfessor Dr. Trivedi is keen to help the respective
Governments in Afro-Asian region for translating his programme of
employment generation into action. He wishes to create employment
opportunities for each and every person in the country by tackling the
two important problems - unemployment and pollution with the sole idea
of having more job givers than job seekers. He longs to see that all
countries in the Afro-Asian region become members of AHEAD.
